Education and Employment
altEmployment and training services are readily accessible to all employers and job seekers through the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Program. Services provided through this program include classroom training, on-the-job training, and job placement assistance. Many Tennessee residents are helped through our Education and Employment Programs.

The education and employment services offered by the Tennessee HRAs are listed below.   Please check back for updates to the listing of services.


Career Center
Career Centers offer a one-stop shopping concept for both the employers and job seekers: "the place where people and jobs connect".  The main office provides numerous workshops, seminars and training sessions to fortify the workforce.
 
Disability Navigator
Disability Navigator provides assistance to individuals with disabilities in finding employment or job training.

 
Dislocated Worker
Dislocated Worker provides training to workers who have lost their employment due to poor economic conditions, mass lay-offs, displaced homemakers, etc.  In addition to classroom and on-the-job training, the program also offers job placement services.

 
WIA
WIA Adult
The Adult Program provides classroom training, on-the-job training, and job placement assistance for individuals age 18 or older who are either under-employed or unemployed.
WIA Statewide
Statewide Activities provide services to employers and individuals to increase skills and earnings.
WIA Statewide - Career Readiness Certificate
CRC is a credential program that documents skill levels of individuals.
WIA Youth
The Youth Program provides occupational skills training through area technology centers and colleges, as well as career training programs to individuals ages 14-21 who are economically disadvantaged.
